The Bachelorette at the Cat's Eye Pub |
2007-10-07
I spent a formidable amount of time drinking beer to the music of Steve Kramer and his Bluesicians, 20 year Sunday evening veterans of the Cat's Eye Pub. It would have been difficult to turn down requests from the bridal-party-to-be to photograph the bachelorette, who - judged by her farewell to solo life - clearly will be making all the right moves in her married one as well. Ursula Hicks never sounded better.
Tommy Buckets and Company |
2007-10-07
I have seen Tommy Buckets around town on numerous occasions, and have actually photographed him, but always under unfavorable panoramic light conditions. Finally, the weather and I arrived at his impromptu gig at the same time! You can find more on him on YouTube and MySpace, if you like what you see (and hear).
Professor Horn's Punch & Judy Show |
2007-10-06
Today was all about the kids. Professor Horn was with us at the Festival last year as well. As a matter of fact i photographed the show from the same vantage point, but how could one get tired of seeing the faces busting into tears with laughter.
Stringling Marionettes |
2007-10-06
I couldn't resist taking a picture here. Look at facial expressions of the audience carefully. Most moms look almost concerned that their children will have nightmares for days to come at the sight of the witch. Whilst the kids are rather intrigued, and many are raising hands to readily volunteer to be told their fortune by the green foreteller. Unlike their elders, they totally get it.
Professor Horn's Punch & Judy Show |
2006-10-08
Too bad the puppeteer doesn't get to see the expressions on the faces of his captive audience. At the very heart of any performance of Professor Horn's Pucnch and Judy Show is getting the children envolved.
Mr. Mark Walker
does this incredible well, as evident on the little faces.
One Man Band |
2006-10-08
Street performers have my outmost respect.
Jord "Jayrodin" Peck
, performing at the 2006 annual Fells Point Festival drew quite a crowd. Though a little rough around the edges still, Jayrodin is a promising young talent, but then again, what do I know, you ask. Nada.
